Pillar II · The reenactment studio
Where strategy
becomes cinema
The turning points of Eastern history, the moments where a single decision changed a civilization, reenacted as short films. Not a lecture about a battle, but the battle itself, rendered so the lesson is impossible to forget.

Scenes we bring to the screen
Six turning points
Each scene has an animated strategy map, a beat sheet checked against the sources, a director's shot list, and the passages that carry its lesson.
A signature style, shot after shot
A signature ink-and-cinema style
East Asian ink-wash and calligraphy aesthetics meet cinematic generative video, so every scene reads as one series rather than a pile of disconnected clips.
Strategy made visible
On-screen annotation traces the move as it happens: troop positions, the feint, the turn. You see the genius, not just the spectacle.
Story first, spectacle second
Each reenactment teaches one lesson and pairs with narration from its companion episode. The drama is the hook; the wisdom is the point.
From the page to the screen
A repeatable pipeline
Built so one founder can produce at something close to studio quality, with a library that compounds episode after episode.
Step 1 of 6
Choose the scene
Pick one moment and the single lesson it carries, drawn from a canon text or a podcast episode.
Every scene earns its place by teaching one idea. Red Cliffs teaches that strength can be turned against its owner.
Drawn before they are generated
Key frames are storyboarded by hand in the signature ink style. They fix composition, lens, and mood, so the AI follows the artist.
The Empty Fort
Panel 1 · Extreme wide
Dust on the horizon. The town gates stand open.
Panel 2 · Medium
Incense, a guqin, a smile. The whole defence is a mood.
Panel 3 · Insert
Close on the strings. Not one note is hurried.
Panel 4 · Reverse
Sima Yi listens, and sees a trap that is not there.
Red Cliffs
Panel 1 · Aerial
A forest of masts, chained bow to stern.
Panel 2 · Medium
The banner turns. The wind has changed sides.
Panel 3 · Tracking
Reed boats, set alight, cut loose.
Panel 4 · Overhead
The fire runs along the chains like ink through paper.
One principle, one image
A Confucian or Daoist idea, distilled into a single ink panel you can remember.
The highest excellence is like water: it seeks the low place, and wears down stone.
Effortless action: the oar rests, the current carries the boat home.
Only when the year turns cold do we see that the pine is the last to wither.
Know the enemy and know yourself: two figures, one reflection.
